The treatment involves taking a small sample of blood and placing it in a centrifuge to extract the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) which is then injected back into the face to rejuvenate and slow down the skin ageing process by stimulating the production of new skin cells.

Certain conditions such as platelet dysfunction syndrome, sepsis and chronic liver pathology may make you unsuitable for treatment.

The treatment does involve injections so it can be a little uncomfortable but topical anaesthetic or numbing cream is used to minimise any discomfort and most patients find the treatment very tolerable, with many experiencing no pain at all.
